Rape costs dropped against Townsville previous physician accused of assaulting individual

Prosecutors have dropped all expenses from a previous physician accused of raping a girl who was his patient in Townsville.

Praveen Kumar was experiencing seven prices of rape.

It was alleged he raped a lady who was his patient involving 2016 and 2017.

Prosecutors have now dropped all fees in opposition to the former physician.

Mr Kumar, 57, experienced pleaded not responsible to seven expenses of rape in a trial in the District Court in Townsville in February.

It was ruled a mistrial on its 2nd working day and was due to re-commence on February 24.

But the rates have been dropped by the Office of the Director of General public Prosecutions (ODPP).
